Benvenuti, Demarchi eight in Mugello GT Cup Race 2

The Italian pairing of Luca Demarchi and Ivan Benvenuti, driving a Lamborghini Gallardo for Imperiale Racing, took eight place in the second race of the Italian GT Cup weekend at Mugello. Exiting the Tuscan weekend of the series, they are leading the championship with an 11-point advantage.

Russo takes P5 in Mugello GT3 race 2

Driving a works-supported Audi R8 Ultra for Audi Sport Italia, Matias Russo took 5th place in race 2 of the Italian GT championship, GT3 class, at Mugello. The Argentinian was fighting for victory until the last two laps, when a triple contact caused him to touch the hard-braking Busnelli. With today’s results, Russo-Zonzini are third in standings with 76 points

Benvenuti, Demarchi retire in Mugello GTCup Race 1

The Italian pairing of Ivan Benvenuti and Luca Demarchi (Lamborghini Gallardo), driving for Imperiale Racing, were forced to retire in race 1 of the Italian GT Championship, GTCup class, at Mugello, following to a contact with Maino. Race 2 will be starting tomorrow morning at 11:50.

Russo second in race 1 at Mugello, leads GT3


Argentinian racer Matias Russo, driving an Audi R8 Ultra for Audi Sport Italia, ended the first race of the Italian GT weekend at Mugello with a second place in class. After making a great start, he delivered a consistent race together with team-mate Emanuele Zonzini. The pairing is now leading the GT3 classification with 69 points. Pastorelli-Pastorelli are second with 66, while Leo-Cheever are third at 64. Race 2 is scheduled tomorrow at 9:50, on a distance of 48 minutes + 1 lap.


Russo scores 4th place in Mugello GT3 qualifying


Argentinean racer Matias Russo, once again behind the wheel of an Audi R8 Ultra prepared by Audi Sport Italia, ended up fourth in qualifying for the GT3 class in the Italian GT Championship round at Mugello. Russo was at his first time at the 5.2-kilometer Tuscan Circuit. He faced a tough challenge, with a damp track in the morning practice before heavy raifalls made it full wet in the afternoon. He logged 20 laps, sharing his ride with team-mate Emanuele Zonzini. Race 1 is scheduled for tomorrow at 12:45 Italian time, on a distance of 48 minutes plus a lap.
