In an excellent experience for him, William Barbosa entered the Carrera X30 Challenge kart race in Colombia, racing against top racers like Juan Pablo Montoya, Carlos Muñoz, Julian Leal and many others. He was back after four years at his home track in Villavicencio. Unfortunately, after the two pre-finals he had ended in P4 and P3, an heavy rainfall forced to cancel the remaining activities.
Argentinean driver Matias Russo, driving an Audi R8 Ultra for Audi Sport Italia, scored third place in the final race of the Italian GT weekend at Imola, in the GT3 class. With today’s podium finish, he and team-mate Emanuele Zonzini are second with 128 points, 4 away from the leaders Cheever and Leo. The next round for the series will be on the 14th, 15th and 16th October at Mugello for the 2016 finale.
Ivan Benvenuti and Luca Demarchi continued to score valuable points at Imola in the penultimate round of the Italian GT Championship, GT Cup class. Driving a Lamborghini Gallardo for Imperiale Racing, they posted another podium finish with a third place in race 2. Now they have a 36-point gap heading into the series finale on the 14th, 15th and 16th of October at Mugello.
The Italian pairing of Ivan Benvenuti and Luca Demarchi (Lamborghini Gallardo), fielded by Imperiale Racing on a Lamborghini Gallardo, scored a third place in the first race of the Italian GT weekend, GT Cup class. With today’s result, they increased their championship lead to 26 points.
Argentinean driver Matias Russo (Audi R8 Ultra) secured a fourth place at Imola, as he lined-up for race 1 of the Italian GT championship in the GT3 class. Joined by team-mate Emanuele Zonzini, he now leads the championship with 116 points. Leo-Cheever are second at 112, followed by Postiglione-Gagliardini at 103. Race 2 will be at 11:10 tomorrow, on a 48-minute + 1 lap distance.
